"girls" This years laying hens were adopted . My decision to skip a year with a flock for coop repairs left a void in the homestead

 Debbie ,Drake , and ' Sassy' [ up top ]   Sassy was adopted after the death of our chocolate lab.  She quickly filled the huge void with her never ending love and sweetness and playfullness

'Babies' [mom] ,and 'Primus' [kid , two months old here . ]Primus has earned a spot as farm mascot. Despite his wariness , his personality and antics keep us in stitches .His job is not to provide food or labor or offspring , but to supply a healthy dose of the second best medicine I know of : laughter!
